Through her production company One-Eyed Rabbit, whose mission is to “offer new perspectives through character-driven narratives to illuminate the full scope of our shared humanity”, Maren produces her own work. In 2020 Maren wrote and directed the short film Keeper and the award-winning short film Maya.

In 2021 Maren returned to her alma mater Cab Calloway School of the Arts to direct Wendy, One-Eyed Rabbit's latest film which had its World Premiere at Soho International Film Festival in October of 2022.
